The hotel offers very spacious rooms with loads of storage, although they appear a bit tired and in need of renovations and a professional paint job. The rooms are clean, well laid out, and provide a comfortable stay. The restaurant is also clean and comfortable, offering a pleasant dining experience.

Staying at the resort was a mixed experience. The rooms, while spacious and with a free restocked mini bar, were in need of a revamp, lacking privacy especially in the bathroom area. The location provided easy access to attractions like Cirque de Soliel but required some attention to cleanliness, while the dining options left something to be desired.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The rooms were fine overall, but I just missed having a kettle to make a cuppa, especially as part of a family of 4. The staff, including Alex, Marisa in the restaurant, Naomi behind the outside bar, and the housekeepers who cleaned room 5112, were really friendly and helpful. Although the rooms seemed a bit tired, the service was exceptional and the location unbeatable within a beautiful gated community with well-priced shops and markets to explore.

Staying on the ground floor as I requested was lovely, but the room felt quite dated with dampness, mold on the curtains, and overall musty smell. The noise level from neighboring rooms was bothersome, and I had to take a sleeping tablet to get rest. The location was convenient, between the beach and the main lobby, with the exciting Howller Monkeys nearby. Despite some room issues, my overall week at Riu Yucatan was excellent with perfect food, bar service, and daily room cleaning.
